Configurando tarjeta de red en Dell Inspiron 5100 con Gentoo

Recien instale gentoo en mi Dell Inspiron 5100, me marco un error al cargar la tarjeta de red,

less /var/log/messages

eth1: Broadcom 4400 10/100BaseT Ethernet 00:0d:56:b1:0e:cf
dhcpcd[9904]: dhcpStart: interface eth0 is not Ethernet or 802.2 Token Ring
rc-scripts: ERROR: Problem starting needed services.
rc-scripts: “netmount” was not started.

como veran, mi tarjeta de red es la eth1, y no la eth0, que es la que el sistema intento cargar, lo que hice fue agregar a /etc/conf.d/net las siguientes lineas:

iface_eth1=”dhcp”
dhcpcd_eth1=”"

y en /etc/init.d/ copiar el script net.eth0 como net.eth1, luego agregar para que cargue al inicio con:
#rc-update add net.eth1 default

y reinicie la red:

#/etc/init.d/net.eth1 start

y listo, ahora a ver lo de la wireless…
